Lopez Lamb, Wool & Goat Festival

Local farmers and makers with their food and textile products, plant starts from the Lopez Farm-to-School students, Lopez fleece and yarn, favorite Lopez food vendors!

Start the festival with the sheep dog demonstration at Hill Farm (Center Road and Lopez Sound Road) from 9-10, then come to the Community Center from 10-3 to meet sheep and goats. There will be cheese-making, sheep-shearing, spinning, weaving, felting, and lichen dyeing, as well as local farmers and artisans selling their island products, including fleece and yarn from Lopez sheep and plant starts from the Lopez Island Farm Education (LIFE) students.
Food vendors will be outside with goat cheese, baked goods, coffee, and a special grilled plate lunch (proceeds from the lunch benefit the LIFE Program). The lunch menu is grilled lamb and chicken kabobs with tzatziki sauce on grilled pita bread, rosemary potatoes, and Greek salad, served until supplies run out.
