LCLT Annual Harvest Dinner

Lopez Community Land Trust (LCLT) is hosting its annual Harvest Dinner, fondly known as “the world’s best potluck,” on October 20th. Each year LCLT offers prizes at the Harvest Dinner for the “best use of local foods,” and “best presentation of local foods” and now Best Dessert. Winners have included dishes brought on bicycle with the salt gathered from Lopez seawater, seaweed designed dishes, gourmet tacos and rabbit casserole. The evening begins at 5 p.m,, Saturday, October 20th at the community center. Judging of dishes ends at 6:10 and the special presentation will begin about an hour later. Lopez Vineyards will sell wine. Please bring your own plates and cutlery with your potluck dish of local foods. Great guest speaker is Jane Koger of Kansas Cowboy Hall of Fame, "Thinking Outside the Cow."
