Dear Friends,

This year Lopez Center for Community and the Arts served the Island in an unprecedented way at a critical time. Starting in February and continuing through May, the Center donated exclusive use of the Main Building for Covid-19 vaccination clinics.

Recognizing the Center's essential role in our Island's capacity to deal with crisis, we're asking for help to make the building even more resilient with two improvements. The first is to upgrade the Center's WIFI network to make it more secure, accessible, and reliable, which is important in emergencies and also brings the Center up to the standard needed for public spaces. The second is a much-needed and often-requested improvement: Constructing and installing 3 new light poles and fixtures to make the main parking lot safer and brighter.

We need to raise $9,000 for these improvements. We've already raised a $4,500 matching fund. So, with every dollar you give, we are two dollars closer to reaching our goal!
