The July 4th Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Lopez Island Library is a long standing tradition of the 4th of July on Lopez. The book sale raises funds that the Friends then use to support the myriad of programs offered by the library - everything from the Children’s Story Hour to the Teen Interns, from the free attendance with the Seattle Arts and Lectures series to the local author talks.
